Create a small native plant patch or "rewild" a corner

Hard20 points

How to do this

  1. Pick a neglected corner — a strip of garden, a cluster of large pots, a school plot.
  2. Plant a mix of UAE natives: Ghaf, Sidr, desert grasses, native shrubs.
  3. Group plants with similar water needs together to save water.
  4. Leave it a little wild — fallen leaves and seed heads support insects and birds.
  5. Photograph your native patch.

Reflection prompts

  • What did you plant in your patch? How is it different from a regular garden bed? What did you enjoy about creating it?
