Remove an invasive plant or replace it with a native one

Medium10 points

How to do this

  1. Learn one common invasive in the UAE — for example, Prosopis juliflora (mesquite), often confused with the native Ghaf.
  2. With permission, remove a small invasive plant from your garden or community area, roots included.
  3. Replace it with a native: Ghaf, Sidr, or a desert shrub.
  4. Dispose of the invasive properly so it doesn't reseed.
  5. Photograph the removal or the newly planted native.
